Furthermore, there are many handmade products that you can start selling online and offline and make a decent profit. So, today, let's explore handmade business ideas under minimum investment.

Business ideas under Rs 10,000

Here are two small business ideas you can consider with investment below Rs 10,000.

Handmade chocolate business

Who doesn’t like chocolate? Well, we all do. And that's where budding entrepreneurs can make the profit. The Indian chocolate market is poised for growth in the upcoming years as per various market research reports. This is largely attributed to the increasing awareness among consumers toward the nutritional benefits and stress-relieving ability of dark chocolate.

Startup India News spoke to a small business owner Richa Sharma who sells homemade chocolates. Sharma said that she initially started the handmade chocolate business with a very minimum investment of Rs 500.

The cost largely included raw materials like Choco powder, mould, and more. Sharma said that she reinvested the profit and increased the investment amount to a decent Rs 15,000. Sharma also said that she made decent profits during festive seasons selling hampers ranging from Rs 1200 to Rs 1500. Sharma has also delivered her handmade chocolates from Delhi to other states.

When asked about the longevity or reliability of the business, Sharma explained that chocolate business is seasonal, as per her experience. This is because there are already many sellers in the market. Hence, in this "perfect competition" market, one has to stick to their business and do something unique and gradually increase the investment amount. Moreover, the profit may also depend upon the area of the business. Hence, one has to target areas with few sellers.

Handmade accessories business

If you are an art and craft lover, then starting a handmade accessories business can turn out to be profitable for you. Nowadays, there are many small businesses selling handmade accessories like jewelry, merchandise, stationary items and more. Start Up India  spoke to a small business entrepreneur Mansha who runs handmade accessories business "The Wonders India."

Mansha started her business with a very low capital circa Rs 2000. She sells earrings, rings, bracelets, neckpiece (chokers), keychains, phonecharms. Now she makes a decent profit.

Conclusion

So, these were two business ideas you can consider with a low investment amount. However, before putting your money, know that, running a business is fancy, but it comes with its own pros and cons.
